About Us
Shaping Norfolk’s Future is a partnership of approximately 300 businesses and organisations spanning the private, public and voluntary sectors.
There is a Management Board which provides overall coordination and direction for the partnership. Day-to-day coordination is provided by a small Core Team, who are responsible for supporting the work of the partnership.
Our shared vision is for Norfolk to have a successful economy; an economy characterised by innovative, dynamic and sustainable businesses. A county where people are skilled and motivated with the opportunities to maximise their potential in a high quality environment.
The key to the successful delivery of this vision is through working with businesses and public and voluntary sector partners. To ensure a focus and an efficient use of partners’ resources , three main approaches have been developed: delivery through partnership groups which focus on sectors, themes and local areas.
Sectors - we focus activities on seven key business sectors to help stimulate Norfolk’s economic growth.
Themes - we tackle the issues, which cut across all business sectors, and these are reflected in six goals set out in the partnership strategy. These goals are used to guide activity and identify gaps.
The Local Areas approach addresses needs at a local level as well as tackling county-wide issues.
Shaping Norfolk’s Future acts as the Sub-Regional Economic Partnership for East of England Development Agency.
